Claycomb: Calamity Strikes On Perch Fishing Trip

I heard that everyone and their brother has been catching perch at CJ, so I thought I’d better go hit them. My buddy Alex Murashko has been telling me that he wanted to go fishing so I invited him along. Idaho is nationwide known as a perch haven with Lake Cascade being ground zero. But since CJ was hot right now and closer, we hit it.

I have spots on CJ where I do OK, but when we stopped at the gas station in Grandview there were a couple of boats that had racked up on the perch. They told me exactly where to go and what to use — red jigs.
